Gov. John Bel Edwards' major economic development announcement is tech company expansion in New Orleans

A newly formed company that has acquired parts of the Hewlett-Packard technology company will be relocating to New Orleans and providing about 2,000 new tech jobs, according to a source with knowledge of the announcement. 

 

Details will be released at 2 p.m. today by Gov. John Bel Edwards at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in what economic development officials have called “one of the most significant economic development announcements in Louisiana history.”
